“China was definitely one of the coolest experiences of my life. When I got there, I was definitely bummed Dennis (Enarson) wasn’t with me due to him breaking his femur. I got into my room and instantly put my bike together. I was just thinking, “Damn, I’m really in China by myself right now.” Haha, it was a crazy feeling. After putting my bike together I went out and cruised the streets. Immediately I noticed how chaotic China was. No rules. Scooters were flying by me, beeping their horns like crazy, and crossing the streets was mayhem. Every person I passed by stared at me like they’ve never seen a kid on a BMX bike before. They looked so confused. After being there a couple days I got used to the chaos.

I hung out with Dakota Roche, Bruno Hoffmann, and Jerry Badders (Vans TM) for most of my time there since everyone else was staying at a different hotel. We went to the black market a couple times where I got fake Ray Bans, a fake Rolex, a green laser and a fake Louis Vuitton belt. When it came to dinner, we played it safe and had Pizza Hut every night. But, I did try “street meat” one night, and when I asked if what I was getting was chicken, the street chef just laughed at me. It honestly wasn’t that bad, the seasoning was pretty good. But hanging out with those dudes was definitely a good time. We rode the dopest ledge set up that had short ledges all in a line without one hassle from a security guard or police officer. They just watched us ride the spot. People would stop and watch; even if we were riding down the street and someone bunny hopped up a curb they would have a crazy reaction. It was awesome haha.

The BMX scene there isn’t too big but the riders are definitely up to date on everything. I’ve never met kids so hyped to meet me. I was leaving the course after finals and there was a huge group of kids waiting out front and I got swarmed. I took it all in, and enjoyed every second of it. Taking pictures and signing their shirts with them I could tell made there day. They were all so psyched.

The last day I was there, a lot of people had left. Bruno, Dak, and Badders had all went home. I got up in the morning and went to SMP Skatepark and met up with a few Aussies (Brock Olive, Marnold, Liam, and Cooper). That park was ridiculous. Definitely the biggest skatepark I’d ever been to. Everything there was gigantic. There was even down ledges and a handrail that was like 5 feet tall at the top. So crazy.

After riding that, I split up with those dudes and hung out with Kane for the rest of the day. Everyone that goes to Shanghai knows who he is. He shows all the pros around town and knows everything in and out. He took me to this awesome market called Temple where I got my dad a helicopter and came up on a few other little gadgets.

After seeing bobble heads that Catfish and Adam22 got a few years back in Shanghai, I had Kane bring me to the stand where they make them. I got a dope bobble head of myself, that is more like a “white” version of me haha. The dude didn’t put any color to my skin but it was too late for him to re-make the face and hands with a darker shade so I just took it how it was. I’m still hyped on it though for sure. After the market Kane took me to this amazing restaurant where you cooked your own meet in a pot of boiling hot soup that gave the meat a ton of flavor. It was bomb. Kane hooked it up for sure.

I can legitimately say that China was the coolest experience of my life and I’m looking forward to going back whenever I get the chance. Huge thanks to Premium for sending me out there, Bruno, Dak, and Badders for hanging out, and especially Kane making my last day there worthwhile.”

This month the crew fires out some sick moves at skate parks in S.D and in Texas.
